We still love wine!

We noticed the other day that it’s been AGES since we posted a wine review.  We do still love wine though!

The other weekend I griddled some rump steak so picked a couple of bottles to have with it (no, we didn’t drink all of it!).  For the white I chose an old favourite Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Gewürztraminer and for the red I chose Brown Brothers Barbera.

Weekend Wine

Nice robust flavours to go with the steak.  All three (steak + 2 wines) were excellent!

Over this Father’s Day weekend we had an amazing slow roasted shoulder of lamb with rosemary and garlic.  With that I matched Flagstone Dragon Tree.  Excellent blended wine, well worth ~£10.  Pick up a bottle at Tesco’s if you see it.
