Uses for Wine Corks: #1, laptop stand

Lifehacker reports one reader has found an ingenious use for old corks.

“I’ve never been comfortable typing on a flat surface. Maybe it was all those years hacking away on an step key Underwood. Two wine corks, rubber type works best, placed on each back corner optimally inclines one’s laptop to a comfortable typing angle. The front rubber pads on the laptop keeps the whole enterprise very stable. Useful, free, highly portable and doesn’t require wires or batteries.”

  1. That is a fantastic idea. I created a large cork board with hundreds of mine, but I still have more corks to use!
