I saw an article on thecoolhunter.net about a new range of wines called Wine That Loves. The idea is that rather than working out whether an Unoaked Chardonnay or a Verdehllo is better with Roast Chicken, all you do is choose the “Wine That Loves Roasted Chicken”. They say it’s a simple idea to “un-snobberise” (nice word!) wine and make wine easier to pick. I’ve seen wines like this before in UK supermarkets and I’m not sure there’s a real market for them. I like the look of the bottle though.
thecoolhunter claims this approach is similar to the simple wines from Yellow Tail Wine. I’ve come across Yellow Tail before at the BBC Good Food Show but to be honest wasn’t too impressed by their wines. Yellow Tail have a nice logo though!
Anyway, if you want to try these wines you can get them in the following “flavours”:
